Brands
Every brand keeps its own naming convention. Set one up before creatives are uploaded for it.

Not sure where to start?
The guide walks through what a naming convention is and what you'll need before you begin.
Short Codes
The compact code used for every value when a name would otherwise be too
long. The field and the value come from your Available Values — only the code is yours
to change.
Brand
Available Values
The values your naming convention draws from —
the value, and the short code used when a name would otherwise be too long.
Names we receive
Who sends you creatives, and how they name their files. Add the agency
first, then the brands it sends for — the format is recorded for each pairing, so
one agency can name two brands completely differently.

Telling your sources apart
On upload we have only the file name to go on.

Approved values
Matched by column header, never by position — reorder or delete freely. Header lookup is exact.
We've generated a short code for every value
Short codes only get used when a name would breach a platform's cap — or always, if you switch them on for a platform.
Short codes
Generated from your approved values. Only the code is editable — the field and value come from step 3.

What you get back
The delimiter isn't a setting. Names are always written with underscores; the pipe version travels in the CSV so you can convert it yourself.
Reference CSV — naming_mapping.csv
Ships inside every download so you can map new names back to the originals in your own dashboards.
The template file
The Excel template this screen replaces. Only people who can edit the naming convention see this.
How this works
Plain English. Start at the top if this is your first time.
